Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 July 2026
Quantum Encoding Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") operates Quantify, a professional invoicing application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. We do not sell your data, and there is no advertising.
Data stored locally
Quantify is a local-first application. Your business data — invoices, quotes, client information, expenses and financial records — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data and we do not keep a copy of your books on our servers.
Data we may collect
- Email address, if you contact us or subscribe to product updates
- License activation details, to validate your purchase
- Crash reports to improve application stability
How we use your information
- To send you product updates and announcements (if subscribed)
- To improve application performance and fix bugs
- To respond to your support inquiries
Payments
When you take a card payment, card details are handled by Stripe as payment processor — they never pass through us and we never store card numbers. Bitcoin payment details you add to invoices are between you and your client; we do not process, hold, or have access to any cryptocurrency transactions.
Tax submissions
When you use the tax compliance features, submissions go to the relevant tax authority (such as HMRC) with your own credentials. We never see your Government Gateway password.
Data security
Your business data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We recommend maintaining regular backups. Any data transmitted to us is protected using industry-standard encryption.
Your rights
Under GDPR and UK data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
